Professor Dr. Vinay Kumar Jha

The Central Department of Chemistry, Tribhuvan University, was founded in 1965. It has been providing quality education in Chemistry from its very inception. Since its establishment, the department has made a long journey full of many ups and downs. Despite all the difficulties, it is a matter of pride that the department has been able to produce internationally saleable students. Our faculty members have forged joint research and academic collaborations with many research institutes abroad. We have an excellent team of highly qualified, internationally competent manpower in various disciplines of Chemistry. Although the resources available to keep the regular activities of the department are limited, we have maintained the academic excellence of our graduates, keeping them educated with recent advances in emerging new areas of chemical sciences. We have been utilizing the available facilities and resources for the maximum upliftment of the department, in particular by promoting interdisciplinary Ph.D. research in various fields of Chemistry.
